Çanakkale, Türk milletinin destanıdır! Bu destan öylesine muazzamdır ki, karşısında
teknoloji ve teçhizat bakımından son derece donanımlı düşman kuvvetleri bile
helak olmuştur. İşte bu aziz vatan, o zor zaman ve şartlarda canlarını feda eden tüm
şehitlerimizin ve gazilerimizin eseridir.

Bugün bizlere düşen görev ise şehitlerimizin kanlarıyla bizlere emanet edilen bu kutsal
toprakları, aynı şuurla sahip çıkarak korumak ve bizden sonraki nesillere daha müreffeh
ve güvenli bir şekilde emanet bırakmaktır.

Sadece Çanakkale’de değil, dünden bugüne vatan topraklarımızı korumak uğruna canını
feda eden tüm şehitlerimizi, başta Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ve tüm gazilerimizi
rahmet ve minnetle anıyor, en derin şükranlarımızı sunuyoruz.

Çanakkale is the epic of Turkish nation! This epic is so tremendous that against it, opposing
forces that were equipped with the latest technology and equipment were perished. This
glorious homeland is the piece of all the veterans and martyrs who sacrificed their lives in
those difficult time and conditions.

Today, our mission is to protect this holy homeland which is entrusted to us by our martyrs’
blood with the same consciousness and leave it to the next generation after us in a more
prosperous and secure manner.

We commemorate especially veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the veterans, all the
martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect our homeland not only in Çanakkale but from
yesterday to today with mercy and gratitude. We offer our deepest gratitude.
